Hostinger’s web hosting comes in three plans: Premium, Unlimited and Cloud Startup. The plan cards list dozens of features, but only a handful of numbers decide which one fits your website. We build and host sites for clients every week, and this guide compares the three plans on those numbers, works through five real situations, and shows what each one costs over the full four-year term.

The quick pick
- Premium for one to three small sites: a blog, a portfolio or a local business site.
- Unlimited for almost everyone else: several sites, small businesses and new online stores. It is only $1 a month more than Premium on a 48-month term.
- Cloud Startup for busy stores, membership and course sites, and agencies hosting client websites.

The five numbers that decide it
- Number of websites. More than three rules out Premium straight away.
- Backup frequency. Weekly backups are fine for a site that changes once a month and risky for anything that takes orders, bookings or sign-ups.
- PHP workers and CPU cores. These set how many uncached requests (checkout, cart, search, logged-in pages, the admin) your sites can serve at once. Readers of cached pages hardly use them.
- Database size. Only matters for large stores, forums and learning platforms, where 3 GB can run out.
- Renewal price. The real long-term cost. Buying the longest term delays it by four years.
Five real situations
1. A personal blog or portfolio
One site, mostly cached pages, a few posts a month. Premium. Add a free backup plugin that copies the site to cloud storage if you post often, to cover the gap between weekly backups.
2. A local business website with email
A few pages, a contact form, and email addresses for the team on your own domain. Premium works if two mailboxes are enough; Unlimited if you need more addresses or want room to add a shop later.
3. A new WooCommerce store
Orders are data you cannot recreate, and checkout pages are never cached. Unlimited to start, for the daily backups and the extra PHP workers. Move to Cloud Startup when the store slows down during sales or the database nears 3 GB.
4. A membership, course or community site
Most visitors are logged in, so almost every request is uncached. Cloud Startup, for its 4 CPU cores and 100 PHP workers. On a smaller plan, these sites feel slow long before traffic looks high.
5. A freelancer or agency hosting fifteen client sites
Unlimited can hold them, but every site shares the same 60 PHP workers, so one busy client slows the others down. Cloud Startup gives the headroom, 2 million inodes for many installs, on-demand backups before updates, and a dedicated IP that clients’ systems can allowlist.
Cost over four years, per website
| Scenario | Plan | 48 months with THEGREATOFF (estimate) | Per site |
|---|---|---|---|
| One blog | Premium | $114.72 | $114.72 |
| Five small sites | Unlimited | $153.12 | about $31 |
| Fifteen client sites | Cloud Startup | $306.72 | about $20 |

The more sites you run, the cheaper each one gets on the bigger plans. That is why Unlimited is our default recommendation for anyone with more than one project. This month’s coupon details are on our page about the best Hostinger coupon and hosting offer this month.
A note on the Business plan
If you have read older Hostinger guides or watched videos about the Business plan (50 websites, 50 GB NVMe, daily backups), the current pricing page shows Unlimited in that position, with the same storage and backups and no website cap. Some guides also describe Cloud Startup with a 100-website limit; the current page lists unlimited websites. Always check the plan card on the day you buy.
Can you switch plans later?
Yes. At the time of writing, Hostinger lets you upgrade from your account, so you do not have to guess your needs for the next four years. The cheapest safe approach is to start on the plan that fits today, with the longest term you are comfortable paying for, and upgrade when the signs appear.

Frequently asked questions
Which Hostinger plan is best for WordPress?
All three run WordPress well. Pick by the number of sites and how dynamic they are: Premium for a small blog, Unlimited for most businesses and new stores, Cloud Startup for busy stores and logged-in communities.
Which Hostinger plan is best value?
Unlimited. On a 48-month term it costs $1 a month more than Premium and adds unlimited websites, NVMe storage, daily backups and more resources.
Is Cloud Startup worth double the price of Unlimited?
Only when uncached traffic is your bottleneck: busy checkouts, logged-in members or many client sites. For brochure sites and blogs, the extra resources go unused.
Do all plans include a free domain?
Yes, for the first year, along with free SSL, a CDN and automatic website migration.
